We have a small creek directly behind our house. Because this is Texas, it is dry most of the year, but at the beginning of July we had quite a bit of rain and the creek ran again for a few weeks. This great blue heron (I assume it was always the same one, who knows) spent quite a bit of time hunting right behind the house. I got some good photos of it.
